Lavina Busby

Lavina Busby was born around 1825 in Georgia to Nathan and and Ruth Busby. She moved to Union Parish, Louisiana with her parents. There, she married James Ripley They came to Texas when their children were little. James died shortly after their arrival in Bexar County along with all but their son Pleas. I remarried to Rederick Benson Watkins soon after James' death. With Ben she had 7 children. She lived near Pleas's and her son John's families until her death in 1904. She was buried in the Nelson-Ripley cemetery plot of the Confederate Cemetery in San Antonio.
