He married Eva Loudevine Erwin 26 February 1889 in New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana. They had three sons, the first, Norwood Edward died when he was barely two. Their second, Theodore died of TB in 1922. The third, James Lawrence was named after Norwood's dad. James moved to California, so Eva and Norwood did, too, after he retired. They had moved around a bit as Norwood managed a variety of interests. The family was in Cameron County, Texas, Pointe Coupee and Iberia Parishes, Louisiana, before moving to Monrovia California. They were happy and had their grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren visit them. He died 29 March 1935 in Monrovia, Los Angeles County, California and was buried in the Monrovia Mausoleum in Monrovia, California. |
