Home Satterfield Ancestors

Eva Loudevine Erwin was born 06 January 1865 in Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana to William Blount and Sophia Erwin. Both were from families that have been in Louisiana since around it's statehood.

She married Isaiah Norwood Satterfield 26 February 1889 in New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana.

They had three sons, the first, Norwood Edward died when he was barely two.  There second, Theodore died of TB in 1922. The third, James Lawrence was named after her dad.  He moved to California, so Norwood and Eva did, too, after he retired. The Family had moved around a bit.  They were in Cameron County, Texas, Pointe Coupee and Iberia Parishes, Louisiana,  before moving to Monrovia California.  They were happy and had their grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren visit them.

Eva died 01 May 1948 in Monrovia, Los Angeles County, California. James had her body taken back to Lafayette, Louisiana to be buried with some of her Erwin ancestors in the Lafayette Protestant Cemetery.
