Alexander Ferguson

Alexander Ferguson was born in the area of one of the hot spots of the American Revolution, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina on 3 September 1785 to William and Mary Bigham Ferguson. The area he was born in became Cabarrus County in 1792 and there he married Eliza Harris. He gave a bond with John H Bardon on 30 June 1808. Eliza and alexander had 5 children. They had family Bible where they kept their families records. (1,2,3,4,5) They had seven children. Those that lived to adult hood traveled to Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas. After he died 10 April 1832, his widow left North Carolina with their son William and went to Tallahatchie County Mississippi, where she died in 1854.
