John Stanfield

John Stanfield was born 1 August 1743 in North Carolina near Snow Camp to Quakers John Stanfield and Hannah Hadley. His dad died when he was a young teen. His mom did a good job on keeping him and his two brothers in line. He married Philpina Jones 2 April 1762 at the Cane Creek Quaker Monthly Meeting in North Carolina.

Together they had at least seven children as he named them in his will when he wrote it 17 August, 1815. (1,2) They were his daughters Mary Biddick, Hannah Cain, Rebecca Cain, Lydia Rayfield, Phillapena Scott and his sons Samuel Stanfield and Thomas Stanfield.
