John Bradley is a fairly common name in these parts of Ireland. These parts was in an area of the Catholic Diocese of Meath and Cavan in Ireland encompassing some of County Meath, Cavan, and Westmeath. He married Rose Heeney 13 January 1839 in the Church at Carnaross. Their marriage is recorded there in the Parish Registers.. They had seven children: Patrick, Philip, James, Mary, Thomas, Mathew, and Betty. All of them were baptized and recorded in the same Registers as their marriage was. Betty was born in 1857 so they were in this area for at least 20 years. He farmed land near his father, William in Leitrim. He was taxed there in the 1840-1870. He also farmed and had a home in Mapreath. |
